Introduction: The biggest problem after importing the CAD file is the problem of the cover, which is mainly caused by the fact that the objects such as circle, ellipse and spline curve defined in CAD are directly defined, without the concept of segment number, while all these objects in SketchUp have the concept of segment number. For example, a circle in CAD is imported into SketchUp with segment number parameters, so in SketchUp, a circle is actually a polygon, not a real circle. However, when we use SketchUp's own import function to import CAD files, we can't directly set the accuracy of these objects, resulting in many curves can't be perfectly jointed at the intersection, resulting in dislocation, which also leads to the inability to directly cover.

This plug-in fundamentally solves the problem of CAD import. We can freely set the number of segments of imported arc, circle, ellipse and spline curves, and can also automatically disconnect at the curve intersection. Using this plug-in and the cover plug-in can solve the cover problem of SketchUp after importing CAD file perfectly and efficiently from the root.

Note: DXF is a CAD data file format developed by Autodesk company for CAD data exchange between AutoCAD and other software.
